🔥 Why Qur’an-Only Islam Still Collapses on Its Own Claims

A full internal breakdown — using only the Qur’an’s words, the Qur’an’s rules, and the Qur’an’s own falsification standard.

⭐ INTRODUCTION — The Untouchable Assumption

Quranists believe the paradox in Islam is caused by hadith, Sunnah, fiqh, Shariah, and the post-Qur’anic religion built around them.

Remove all that, they say, and you’re left with:

a perfect book
fully preserved
complete
clear
self-contained
contradiction-free

But here’s the reality — and it’s unavoidable:

The Qur’an’s biggest problems are created by the Qur’an itself.
Removing hadith doesn’t solve them. It reveals them.

The Qur’an makes absolute claims, and absolute claims demand absolute performance.

But the text does not deliver what it advertises.

Let’s hit the major points.

1. The Qur’an Claims to Be Fully Detailed — But It Leaves Core Practices Undefined

Qur’anic claims:

“Fully explained” — 6:114
“Clarification of all things” — 16:89
“Nothing omitted” — 6:38
“Easy to understand” — 54:17

But core Islamic practices are missing:

❌ How many daily prayers?

No number. No command.

❌ How to pray?

No steps. No format. No words. No motions.

❌ Zakat percentages?

Nothing.

❌ Hajj rituals?

Bare minimum references, zero procedural detail.

❌ Wudu (ablution):

Contradictory and incomplete (5:6 vs 4:43).

❌ Fasting rules:

Major details missing or contradicted.

❌ Marriage rules:

Contradictions on interfaith marriage.

❌ Criminal punishments:

Incomplete and self-conflicting.

If the Qur’an were truly:

“fully explained,”
“clarification of all things,”
“nothing omitted,”

none of these gaps would exist.

Qur’an-only Islam collapses through omission.

2. The Qur’an Claims Clarity — Then Admits Ambiguity No One Can Understand

Qur’anic claims of clarity:

“A clear book” — 5:15
“Easy to remember” — 54:17
“Detailed explanation of everything” — 12:111

Qur’anic admission of mystery:

3:7 — Some verses are ambiguous, and

“None knows their interpretation except Allah.”

If:

the Qur’an is clear,
and complete,
and easy,
and fully explained,

then ambiguous verses that no human can interpret should not exist.

This is the Qur’an contradicting the Qur’an.

3. The Qur’an Claims Consistency — But Contains Irreconcilable Contradictions

Qur’an-only followers rely heavily on 4:82:

“Had it been from other than Allah, they would have found many contradictions in it.”

But we already have irreconcilable contradictions inside the Qur’an:

❌ 6 days vs 8 days of creation

❌ Earth first vs Heaven first

❌ “No compulsion” vs compulsory fighting

❌ Human free will vs Allah misleading people

❌ Christians nearest in love vs forbidden allies

❌ Souls bear only their burden vs burden-sharing

❌ Intercession impossible vs intercession allowed

❌ Pharaoh drowned vs Pharaoh saved

These cannot be harmonised within Qur'anic language itself.

If 4:82 is true, the result is unavoidable:

The Qur’an is not from Allah — by its own standard.

4. The Qur’an Claims Perfect Preservation — But Contains Missing Verses, Lost Texts, and Internal References to Nonexistent Material

Quranists reject hadith, so they reject the stoning verse, breastfeeding verse, etc.

But they still face this:

The Qur'an refers to earlier revelation the ummah does NOT possess.

Examples:

24:58 presupposes an earlier shared modesty protocol.
2:238 refers to “the Middle Prayer” — which the text never defines.
5:101 references religion already complete “before the Qur’an”.
87:18–19 tells Muhammad to follow earlier scriptures.

This means the Qur’an depends on external revelation to interpret it — revelation that no longer exists.

You cannot have:

“Only the Qur’an is needed”
when
the Qur’an points to missing revelation outside itself.

5. Quranists Cannot Implement Qur’anic Law Without Recreating Hadith Structures

To run Qur’an-only Islam in the real world (not theory), you MUST answer:

What is theft?
What equals fornication?
How is slander proven?
What is “obscenity”?
What is “wronging your wife”?
How much is “just maintenance”?
What is a “righteous wife”?
How to punish “mischief in the land”?
What is “rebellion”?
What qualifies as “justice” in disputes?

The Qur’an never defines any of these.

So Quranists end up doing:

ijtihad (legal interpretation)
qiyas (analogical reasoning)
community consensus
scholarly rulings

Which means…

They end up recreating the fiqh system they tried to avoid.

Qur’an-only Islam collapses:

because it must rebuild the entire hadith/Sunnah/fiqh system just to function.

6. “Obey the Messenger” Still Cannot Function Under Qur’an-Only

While alive → obey directly.
After death → obey what he left (the Qur’an).

But this creates the next fatal problem:

When the Qur’an says “obey the Messenger,”

it does NOT say “obey his community,”
or “obey later scholars,”
or “obey memory chains.”

leaves vital practices undefined

Removing hadith removes excuses — not contradictions.
